This session will cover aspects of working with a client who has dementia with the goal of staying with them as long as possible as their disease progresses. We will explore such questions as: What are the risks and rewards of working with persons with dementia? If a client has dementia, does a third-party fiduciary have to take over, and if so, when? What are the best practices for communicating with the care team? Find out how to best protect yourself as a daily money manager while making sure your client’s wishes are carried out.
